Title: The Great Egg Roll - V (ID:2766)

Summary: Join in the 5th year of rolling eggs to teach measurement, estimation, and averaging!!
This project is open to all students around the world. The project begins on March 21st and ends on April 8th, 2005.

Full Project Description:
Each student will need at least 1 hardboiled egg to roll for distance. Teachers will need to provide a way to measure the distance of all eggs rolled. Eggs need to be rolled as if bowling the egg -- not throwing the eggs. Teachers will submit the lengths of the 2 longest rolls as well as an average of all rolls. If the teacher wishes -- students may also provide 1 extra egg to decorate in the Egg Fashion Show. Classes will decide on the top egg and send that egg to technospud.com to be placed on the Fashion Show page.
Objectives:
1. Provide teachers with a fun way of teaching measurement, estimation, averaging, and class cooperation. 2. Provide teachers with worksheets, lesson ideas, and subject integration to make this a day of fun as well as learning. 3. Provide students with a way to express their creativity in decorating eggs for the fashion show. 4. Provide teachers and students with a project that will expand the walls of their classroom with participating schools all over the world.
