Students will decorate eggs and then roll for distance. After the the rolling ends, the math begins.
Results will be submitted for longest boy roll, longest girl roll, and class average.

Full Project Description:
The Great Egg Roll is in our 3rd year of rolling eggs to teach math skills.
Students will need to decorate 1 hard boiled egg (either at home or at school) and then roll (NOT THROW) the egg down a designated path.
Once all eggs have been rolled, the class will tally all results and figure out a class average. The teacher will submit data on the Class Average and also the longest boy and longest girl roll. (no names will be posted)
Thie year we have also added the "Egg"-ceptional Fashion Show. Have your students dress up another hardboiled egg. The class (or other judges of your choice) will decide on the favorite egg. At the end of the project, a group of impartial judges will determine the top 3 eggs of this project.
Objectives:
To provide a fun way to teach measurement and averaging. To encourage classes to exchange ideas and information. To help teachers get involved in positive and fun online projects which bring different teaching styles and concepts into their class.
