Full Project Description:
Grades K-6. Students learn all about dinosaurs and about scientific discovery in a collaborative, interactive online project in which each classroom chooses a dinosaur to research in depth. 10-week sessions include online activities, expert guests, classroom activities and instructions, reading material, moderated discussion, and links to useful research sites. All student research is posted on the Web, students work in a private Web classroom with schools worldwide.
Objectives:
Students will learn about the process of scientific discovery through their own research on dinosaurs, through background on research methods used by paleontologists, and through Q & A online with scientists working in the field.
