Full Project Description:
Students study basic ecology concepts through the arts. Classroom activities in journaling, creative writing, art, dance, etc. teach the cycles of nature. Moderated discussion led by 30-year veteran environment arts teacher, John Caddy, Center for Global Environmental Education, Hamline University. On-line artists help students and teachers with their work. For elementary and middle school. Nine week program, starts Sept. 28, 1998. Another session runs in spring of '99.
Objectives:
To teach ecology through the arts; to provide students with a Web forum for their creative work on the subject of ecology.
