Full Project Description:
Interactive on-line study and discussion forum on topic of rivers and watersheds. Four interactive projects to choose from - history of rivers, river data collection, watershed identification and energy resources. On-line expert guests for Q&A. Choose from two options: full year discussion group; or 9-week spring interactive adventure focussed on Mississippi River. Produced and moderated by Center for Global Environmental Education, Hamline University. Moderated on-line discussion in private conferencing center.
Objectives:
To provide a forum in which students worldwide can share river data and watershed experience; to allow students access to worldwide river experts; to emphasize the importance of rivers and watersheds in every ecological system; to provide hands-on activities in the earth science classroom.
