Full Project Description:

8-week physics lab in which each classroom designs an amusement park ride with the help of a physics moderator and on-line Q& A with amusement park experts. Basic physics principles covered in on-line background material and practice problems. School projects posted on Web. Units for both jr/middle and sr. high. 8-week project. Moderated and designed by Denise Ciotti, physics teacher, Winsor School for Girls, Boston, MA and MIT professor Robert C. Berwick, Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

Objectives:

To create a physics forum on the Web that follows traditional textbook instructional guidelines, but which allows interaction and exchange of information among schools and field experts.
