Summary: Our kindergarten classes are reading "The Gingerbread Man." We're going to make our own gingerbread men. One night some of them will disappear. If you'd like one of our gingerbread men to visit your classroom, let us know. The gingerbread man will come via snail mail with a disposable camera. Let him visit you for a few days, take some photos of any interesting things he does or sees) and mail him to the next name on the list.

Full Project Description:
The Kindergarten classes at Wilburn Elementary School are reading the story, "The Gingerbread Man." Then we're going to make gingerbread men. Some of our men are going to "disappear." Where will they go? That's up to you! E-mail us if you're interested in a visit from one of the runaways.
The Gingerbread Man will come via regular mail and will have a disposable camera. Keep him for a few days, take some photos of any interesting things that he does or sees (especially anything that reflects the area you are from) and then e-mail or write the class to let them know that you have seen their gingerbread man. On the back of your gingergread man you'll see the name of the classroom he ran away from. Go to that teacher's page on the Gingerbread Man Project web page. Send it to the next class on the list after a day or so.
Each Gingerbread Man can only make 5 visits so sign up fast. Thanks for your help with our project!

Students will learn about different areas of the country as they exchange email with participating classes.
