Description of Our Community: Miaoli was called "Mao-Li." From ancestors crossing the sea to open up uncultivated land in the early Chin dynasty, then protesting against Japan for many times, to developing high technology today, the whole process is full of ancestors' hard work and historical evidence.

Project Description: Miaoli was named "Mao-Li", which is the transliteration of Ping-Pu, one of the aborigines in Taiwan. Miaoli is a place gathered with many nations. Besides Ping-Pu, which is already influenced by Han, Ming-Nanese distributes in the plain along the sea, Hakkaese distributes in the valley of Chung-Gang, Ho-Long and Shee-Hu River, Tai-Yanese distributes mostly in Tai-An Township, and Sei-Shanese distributes in Nan-Zuawn and S-Tan Township.
