Description of Our Community: Tamsui, is a town full of history. Located at the outlet of the Tamsui River system in the Taipei Basin, it opened for trade in 1858 AD, and is the earliest developed port in northern Taiwan, except for the narrow plain of the Tamsui River Estuary, half of Thailand is covered by the Datun Mountain Mausoleum. Today's Tamsui District, formerly known as 'Huwei', is a general term that refers to the area around the Tamsui River Basin and even the whole of northern Taiwan.

Project Description: Teacher Su Wenkui is the founder of the Huwei Cultural and Historical Studio and was once an elder at the Tamsui Presbyterian Church. Currently serving as the director of the Tamkang High School History Museum, he is a friendly and amiable person who always treats students with a smiling face. His approachability has earned him excellent rapport. In addition to this, Teacher Su has made countless contributions to all things related to Tamsui and its cultural heritage. Intrigued by Teacher Su's life, we initiated oral interviews, collected information, and created a website, hoping to showcase the unique personality of Teacher Su Wenkui to the world.
