Description of Our Community: The Community: Changhua County was previously known as Poasoa. It is the “rice warehouse of Taiwan”. During the Qing Dynasty, Lugang in Changhua was one of the fastest growing towns as the saying goes “Fucheng, Lugang and Manka”. Grapes from Dacun Township, guavas from Shetou Township, lychees from Fenyuan Township, and pomelos from Huatan Township. These quality agriculture produces are the hallmark of Taiwan. Settlers from Fujian and Guangdong created different cultures here. Landmark tourist sites include the Bagua Mt. Buddha statute and Longshan Temple and the Tianhou Temple in Lugang. Lugang has been famous for its temples since ancient times. The other famous temples are Qingshui Temple, Baozang Temple, and Hushan Temple.

Project Description: The Baguashan Nation Scenic Area, where the Great Buddha statue is located, is one of the famous tourist destinations in Taiwan. It is in the middle of the northeast of Changhua County. Behind the Great Buddha statute is a Buddhist temple, where tourists can get a helicopter view of the whole Changhua City. If the weather is good, a paramount view of the Fire Bureau of Taichung City Government is possible. A clear view of Changhua City is available from the two sides of the Eight Level Pagoda.
