Description of Our Community: We the students of Lakshmipat Singhania Public school hail from Odisha - the state embimbing vibrant culture and tradition. Jaykaypur is an industrial township situated in a valley surrounded by scenic hills in the Rayagada district of Odisha in India. The civilization in and around Rayagada is mainly because of the major industrial establishments like JK Paper Mills - one of the most reputed paper mills of Odisha, Utkal Alumina International- a pioneer Aluminium Industry and IMFA.This place has a huge importance in terms of cultural and historical aspects as well. People from many diverse communities live here. In fact, there are so many diversities that the place may be called a Mini India. This outstanding cooperation makes Jaykaypur the perfect place to live in. Lakshmipat Singhania Public School is one of the best school in the Rayagada district for its quality education blended with an array of extra curricular activities.
Project Description: We aim to emblazon the culture of Odisha by presenting a project on Odissi- the classical dance of Odisha. Odissi owes its origin to the temples of 'Lord Jagannath'.It is a highly inspired, passionate, ecstatic form of dance. Today Odissi has established itself to be the most fascinating dances of the world. Having been projected throughout the world, Odissi dance by virtue of its sheer beauty, has been able to win the hearts of all those who witness it. Sculpturesque poses and imbibed spirit of this dance is spontaneously catered around to move any heart, or soul that the dance is not meant for the human being but for the gods. It is therefore undoubted that more and more of the dancers are attracted to learn this form within the country and abroad.
