Description of Our Community: The Xinyi District was the last administrative district designated by the Taipei City Government. It is one of the most important commercial areas in Taipei City and accommodates numerous commercial buildings and corporations. However, the district features a historical area called Four Four South Village, which retains a number of buildings and cultural heritage from its predecessor: a military village. Located in proximity to Taipei 101 and Four Four South Village, Taipei Municipal Xinyi Elementary School used to be an elementary school for children whose parents worked at the military village’s armory factory. Therefore, Xinyi Elementary School is a unique and distinctive school because of its geological features and development that result from its previous status as a military village with an armory factory.

Project Description: Taipei Municipal Xinyi Elementary School is blessed with six stars, which have been shining upon the campus in their brightest splendor. They are not planetary objects but six special education teachers from the Individualized Learning Center at Xinyi Elementary School. Showing abundant love, patience, and optimism for students, they believe that every child is equal and thus provide comprehensive care of all students, including those with different learning abilities and special needs. Therefore, they are always busy offering timely help to students in need of assistance, designing customized learning courses to develop student’s own potential, and assisting students in learning the importance of equality, respect, self-confidence, and mutual help. They are the brightest stars for students in Xinyi Elementary School.
