Description of Our Community: Maokong is located in Wenshan District of Taipei, Taiwan, and is one of the Erge Mountain series. As Maokong sits on the edge of Taipei Basin, the entire Taipei city can be seen from the mountain. Maokong used to be the biggest tea growing area of Taipei, and therefore, many intertwining footpaths were used to transport tea. Nowadays, Maokong still produces tea , most notably Tieguanyin, but she has become the most famous tourist destination in the south of Taipei city, and the footpaths have become popular hiking trails.

Project Description: As local residents in this district, our children introduce the hiking trails based on their personal experiences. They tell us which trails are friendly and good for both parents and kids, and which trails are abundant with biological resources or geological surprises such as “potholes”. Following the footsteps of the children, people are expected to know Maokong better, and to witness more of her beauty.
