Description of Our Community: Hemei is a small town in north Changhua, and it is one of the earliest developed towns in Taiwan. Our ancestors came here 300 years ago, so that today's Hemei becomes the economic center of Changhua County. In 1992, TFCF moved to the Mrs. Song-chou Xu children's museum, and established the Child Development Center in 1993 to help the disadvantaged and children. Hemei became the town of “peace” and "love"!
Project Description: Do you know that the well-known Changhua TFCF has an organization providing special care for children with disabilities or developmental delays? The full name of this institution, "Changhua County Child Development Center, Taiwan Fund for Children and Families." Changhua County Child Development Center, founded in 21 February 1993, aims to care for children with disabilities or developmental delays, providing various integrated services of health care, education, rehabilitation, and welfare programs. Through early detection, early intervention, early treatment, the children can overcome the developmental delay or disorder as soon as possible. The center strengthens family functions through intervention and education programs, study seminars, and so on, to get thorough understanding of the children’s development. Thus, the parents can serve as the best ones to provide intervention, reducing the cost burden on the families and society. The so-called "slow-flying angels" does not mean that they fly too slowly or they lack of the ability to fly. It means that their learning process is harder than others, and they need more courage and patience than others. Although they take off slowly, they will fly the highest and farthest. Our care and encouragement will be their biggest motivation!~ The He-Ren loving angels’ project name is “Fly! Slow-flying angels - the miracle of love is all in the Child Development,” hoping that they can fly with the slow-flying angels through a series of experiences and activities.
