Description of Our Community: Yongjing country is located in the Changhua plain in the middle, which is adjacent to Yuanlin in the northeast, Shetou in the east, Tianwei in the south, Chihu in the west, and Pusin country in the north. In early times, betel leaves was the main economic crops. Later more the cultivation and sale for plants seedling started to develop. Traditional buildings in this area are mostly “hulong outward extended style” buildings. Ancestors of the residents here are believed to be from the Hakka community in Chaozhou, Guangdong province according to observations of the culture here. Hakka families have strong sense of family unity. They have left this area some well-known and representative historical constructions. Among them, Chengmei Hall of the Wei family, yu san guan of the Chen family, and Royal House Teacher’s Residence are the most representative, which are called the Cultural Golden Triangle of Yongjing.

Project Description: After reviewing the artistic value of Teacher's Residence in House of Royalty, we examine the present maintenance of Teacher's Residence. The court has ruled that House of Royalty is legally categorized in the National historical relics and is supposed to be maintained and protected, but House of Royalty is not receiving any care. Attention should be raised to how to help House of Royalty be maintained appropriately.
