Description of Our Community: Tien Cheng Elementary School is located in Puyan Township, Changhua County. Puyan Township, famously known as “hometown of vegetables” and “hometown of sweet rice”, is a major producer of sweet rice and a place with abundant vegetable production, especially broccoli, leeks, onions, and peas. Puyan Township is like a puzzle of farm fields. A-zen’s Steamed Pork Buns is located in Lukang Township, Changhua County, a cultural old town with numerous tourist attractions such as temples and historic sites. The phrase “One Tainan Capital, Two Lukang, Three Monga” has witnessed Lukang’s prosperity in the old days. The prosperity had made Lukang rich in gourmet culture, which is also one of the main attractions for tourists today, and A-zen’s Steamed Pork Buns is a “must-taste” place for all visitors.

Project Description: Lukang A-zen’s Steamed Pork Buns is world renowned for its high quality and delicious food products. It has been run by eight generations, for over a century. The current owner Mr. Yung-feng Cheng is not only a gourmand and literati, but also a philanthropist who frequently donates books and money to our school. In addition to knowing the products and history of A-zen’s Steamed Pork Buns, we also visited clients, employees, Mr. Cheng and his children in order to learn the business philosophy and policy of A-zen’s Steamed Pork Buns. Moreover, we visited the company and took a do-it-yourself course, so that our team, teachers, and students could experiment Mr. Cheng’s life of gourmet food and charity.
