Description of Our Community: Fields between factories, it’s the unique view of Changhua County. After the Retrocession of Taiwan, the textile industry in Changhua County was very prosperous. It was called “the Textile Kingdom”, especially famous for “Homei Zhi Zai” (The Textile Kingdom in Homei). The development of Homei Township also encouraged the textile industry in other townships, and it was the foundation of textile industry in our living area.

Project Description: ”Textile” is very familiar to all of us. We can’t live without textile in food, clothing, shelter and transportation. Thanks to the Cyberfair, we used this chance to realize textile industry’s history in Shengang, interviewed several domestic textile factories, in order to know more about the textile industry’s history, ingredients, cotton, weaving and processing, etc. Through the DIY activity, we realized the theory of how the textile machines weave.
