Description of Our Community: The lush, scenic area known as Taoyuan is located in northern Taiwan. Besides its natural beauty, Taoyuan also has the Chiang Kai-shek International Airport, which makes this town a strategic entry and exit point for Taiwan. The population of the area is mainly Hakka and Fukienese, with the rest being aborigines and new residents, a blend which makes it the epitome of Taiwan ethnicity. In a place called a 21st century utopia, there is a wealth of music education resources, producing many musical talents. Hence, the Voices of Spring Symphony Orchestrawas created. We are very excited to tell music lovers worldwide about the Voices of Spring Symphony Orchestra. We define "Our Community" as being the music-loving youths of Taiwan who have matured and grown strong in the Voices of Spring Symphony Orchestra.

Project Description: Exquisite music can have mind clearing, spirit-shaping, imperceptible yet deep influences. Since the forming of the Voices of Spring Symphony Orchestra two years ago, they have been continually cultivating bit by bit through scheduled, countryside, public performances and tours. They have contributed greatly to local music education and the promotion of community music appreciation. We have specially chosen the creation, establishment, organization and funding of a private symphony orchestra as our project. The project includes the trials the founder went though while establishing this orchestra and the orchestra's gradual process of maturation.
