Description of Our Community: Our school, Jing Yi elementary school is located in Nei-Men, which is a country sides place in Kaohsiung city,Taiwan. Therefore, people here are simplicity. We have developed education network by limit resource and exporters from local. It can broaden the school lesson and the student’s horizon. Our community has a lot of crops such as longan, litchi and thorny bamboo. School is part of the community. We should always collaborate with them to glory the local feature.

Project Description: There are many legends circulates in Nei-Men, one of the most popular legends is ‘Ya Mu Wang’, the story of ‘Zhu I-Gei’. In our subject, we walk through the temples of ‘Ya Mu Wang’ in Nei-Men, visit the historian and literary authors in order to find out the story and the source of ‘Ya Mu Wang’. We also try to understand the history and the monuments with student. Let students join in to community by community investigating. Let them understand the history background from knowing the legends and the history, and at last understand the relationships and effects of a history make to this local place. We hope we can make student learnt the knowledge of local history by investigating the local monuments, and the most important ideal is to making the local identification during this investigation.
