Description of Our Community: Shezi is an island, and it is used to be surrounded by 3 rivers. On the South-East side of the She-Zi island is the Fanzi Ditch, north is the Keelung River, South is the Tam-Sui River. The two rivers are jointed in the east of She-Zi. The point of joint is like a duck’s beak overlooking the Kuanin mountain, leading to Sanchun, Luchou as well as Kuando and Beitou. As the construction of the highways and bridges began, the water road had ended. Yangping North Road can be extended from section five up to section nine with the help of those modern constructions. However, the cost of modern constructions is vast. Since it leads to the floods of the end sections of the road. And Shezi has the fame for floods with heavy rainfall. Therefore we based our research on the relationship between the reasons for restriction of construction with floods, and also to get to know Shezi now and before.

Project Description: In modern society, people try to be internationalized; however, they tend to neglect traditional culture of their own country. Martial art is one of the traditional cultures.

Our project is to get to know a special Martial Art Class, which is leading by Teacher Chang.

Through this Project, we'd like to introduce when and how Mantis Kungfu prayed in Shezi Elementary School.

We'll introduce praying Mantis Kungfu in school Martial Art Class, interview Teacher Chang, his students and colleagues, also, we will learn more about Mantis Kungfu: the origin, history and development of Praying Mantis Kungfu, and use of various weapons and martial art.

In this activity, we learn the knowledge about martial art and further recognize Teacher Chih-tsung Chang and his passion and contribution to martial art.

We hope that his contribution and effort will allow martial art to be passed to the following generations.
