Description of Our Community: “Formosa Aboriginal Song and Dance Troupe” founded in 1991. Although it went through several stages of changes, it now sets up in Hualien. Hualien, between the Pacific Ocean and the Central Mountain, is located in the eastern part of Taiwan. It’s famous for the rich natural resources and impressively beautiful landscapes. Most important of all, many aborigines’ cultures remain here. That’s because there are some favorable reasons for aborigines to develop and promote their cultures here.

Project Description: Taiwan is easily influenced by external cultures. Some young aborigines were awared that the aborigines’ cultures passed down by their ancestors are valuable. So the young generations decided to make their traditional songs and dances reborn. They wanted to make their unique traditions known. As a result, they orangized “Formosa Aboriginal Song and Dance Troupe” in May 1991. They worked hard to achieve their goal.
