Description of Our Community: The geographic name of the city “Hsinchuang “means “the new street village”. Owing to DaHan stream and Damsui river, Hsinchuang is one of the earliest metropolises. The old saying “Yi-Fu, Er-Lu, San-Hsinchuang” (First-TainanFu city, Second-LuGang city, Third-:Hsinchuang city) means Hsinchuang city was ranked as the third prosperous city in Taiwan in the past.

Despite of the limited resources, Hsinchuang has been engaged in many important constructions and gradually get rid of its stereo-type impression as an industrial city. Since now the “secondary city-center plan”, “ToQian city plan” and three MRT plan are under construction, Hsinchuang is at the turning point, it will surely become a new city with industrial and commercial prosperous, with prevailing cultural spirits, and with high quality of life in the near future.

Project Description: The Hsinchuang Stadium (Taipei County) is located at Hsinchuang city. The site, the land of 22 hectares and trapezoid-like shape enclosed by FuHsing Rd. Section 1 on the north, ChungHua Rd.Section 1 on the east, Park Rd. on the south, and HoHsing St. on the west, is a very wide “Sport Park” area in the west of Taipei County.

Before the completion of the hardware construction, the site was housed by the American Army Radio Station, fish ponds, some fishing courts and large low-lying farms. The stadium is often called “Hsinchuang Sport Park” or “Hsinchuang Integrated Stadium” by the local residents. The facilities include gymnasium building, baseball field, athletic field, tennis court, basketball court, physical fitness room, sunshine meadow (is usually used to hold activities frequently here),green shadow road, landscape building, waterfall labyrinth, outdoor stage and so on. The Hsinchuang residents may spend their leisure time here and enjoy jogging, playing balls, taking a walk and playing baseball etc.

No matter at dawn or in the evening, the local residents can jog, play with kids, roam and enjoy exhibition fairs here. The Hsinchuang Stadium has become a part of the local residents’ lives. The researchers are very interested in the history of the stadium, the sport courses it provides, the exercising habits of the local residents, as well as the future expectations from the president of the office, the local residents and students.
