Description of Our Community: Located in Da An District, the best area of Taipei City, our school has best geographical location and traffic condition. In it, the area keeps greenery leisure, humanistic art, and historic antiques. Now, Taipei City becomes international city, along with the accomplishment of MRT, World Financial 101 Building, and the High Speed Railway, it marches to the City of the World. Facing the trend of global warming and rising of the oil price, energy saving and deduction of CO2 has become crucial issues. In recent years, Taipei City Government has done its best to promote policies such as green environment, garbage classification, energy saving. The government has established “Warm House Air Reduction Promotion Team” to consecutively propose energy saving treatments, such as interval lighting of street lamps to save electricity. In addition, the City Government also promotes “Community Energy Saving Consultant Team” to offer service to the general public how to save energy. The purpose is to hope everybody work together to let our living place a sustainable city with “blue sky and green land,” “energy-saving,” and “multi-species.”
Project Description: In recent years, in order to let people live a convenient life, our planet can barely breathe. Everyday, we make huge amount of garbage, build houses everywhere, build factories to let huge waste air to pollute the entire Earth environment, and consume the natural resources of the planet. Such life not only creates global warming to endanger human health, but also brings crises to the Earth ecology. The Earth has been sick. Global warming let the Earth get ill badly. The symptoms include earthquakes, typhoons, hurricanes, tidal waves, holes in the ozone layer, and the melting of ice in both the North and the South Pole. In addition, many species have been barely existed due to global warming and environmental pollution. In order to protect our planet, we tried to study the green life from green notion, green consumption, and green behaviors, in order to awaken people to establish a sustainable bio-Earth. Through the project, we wish to learn environmental protection knowledge together from data collecting and interviews; eventually, we wish to make an effort to the Earth through our research report, and to bring the original clearness and beauty to the Earth.
