Description of Our Community: In 1997, the population of Luchou exceeded 150,000, and became a city of Taipei County – Luchou City. The prosperity of Luchou made it an important trade partner with Bali and Sanchung area, also, folk religion became more pervasive. Luchou not only has grand religious ritual, the City Government also hosts Guanyin Cultural Festival, which covers wide range of folk religions. Thus, the public has become more aware of the temples and religions.

Project Description: Baohe Temple is an old temple in Luchou, located next to the Luchou Elementary School, also a hundred-year-old school.Baohe Temple is the most valuable temple in Luchou, yet is not listed as a historical architecture due to many reasons. Since most students and residents of Luchou knew little about temples, we collected extensive data on Baohe and promote the temple through this research, so that everyone could appreciate the beauty of traditional temple and concern about their futures.
