Description of Our Community: Long-Shan Temple is located at Lu-Kang town of Changhua County, Taiwan.Lu-Kang used to be the second most important port for the people who came from Mainland China to cultivate in Taiwan. Lu-Kang, now a town with a population of less than half a million, has seen her better days. With her many well-preserved historical sites and ongoing artistic activities, Lu-Kang remains a very famous tourist attraction.

Project Description: On Long-Shan Temple: Long-Shan is acclaimed “A gem of Chinese architectural art.” She is also called “Taiwan’s Forbidden City.” Built in the Ming Dynasty (around 1653), Long-Shan Temple is the first Buddhist temple in Taiwan. During the 300 years since her establishment, Long-Shan Temple has seen the rise and fall of Lu-Kang’s history and the political and economical developments of Taiwan.
