Expect Nankang Software Park is in the neighborhood, the education system is well provided in Donghu: Donhu Elementary School, Donghu Senior High School and also Nanhu Senior High School are all in this area. This is a good place combined business and humanity. And the destruction of MRT will definitely give more convenience to the handicapped. Project Description: Chen Pao-han is a patient of Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA). But his hard work got himself into Department of Library and Information Science in National Taiwan University and he is also the first student in Nanhu High School who won the” President Education Prize.” He has been through numerous obstacles, spent nearly eight years to walk. From someone being rejected by his kindergarten, self-respect being infringed because the misunderstanding of the teacher in his elementary school, to someone being arranged into a suitable high school, until a freshman in National Taiwan University. He personally been through everything and knows best how this society look at him. This time, we interviewed many people around him to know better about his school life and his childhood. Though we are in the same school, we had no idea about this rare disease that Chen Bo Han has. How can the people in the society help those who have this kind of disease? He conquered both mentally and physically obstacles, we can easily see that he is the one who straightly and deeply feel how society treats handicapped people. He personally experienced the progress of education for the handicapped. By the research of “Struggling for Life”, we hope that more and more people can be informed with rare diseases: Spinocerebellar Ataxias, and provoke people giving their most sincere care to them.
