Description of Our Community: Neihu district, surrounded by mountains in the east, west and north, locates in the east side of Taipei. It has two parks around the lakes: Tahu Park and Bihu Park. Neihu owns the natural beauty of mountains and lakes, and becomes the marvelous garden of Taipei City. Approximately 60% of this district is the forest protection area, which is a unique treasure shared by Neihu residents.

Project Description: Taipei City Wall was built from January 1882 to November 1884 in Qing Dynasty reigned by Guangxu emperor. This City Wall has been built for 120 years till now. Our major points in this research is to make things clear that how ancient people get the stones from Jin-mian mountain, and how they deliver the stones through water and land route. With the strong support of teacher Jin-zan Chen, who teaches in Neihu Communitiy Colleage and directs the Literature and History Studio in Neihu, our group investigated on the spot, and took part in the activity “Wall Stones in Legacy” , which was held by Department of Urban Development Taipei City Government. We did our best to reproduce the hard-working process of digging and delivering the stones.
