Description of Our Community: There are three treasures in Guan Shan–good ecosystem, pure water, and wonderful natural scenery. Taiwanese county ambition has mentioned that Guan Shan is original and uncivilized because of the shale faults. The main streams come down between both cliffy mountains. The changeable terrain, winding brooks, cliffy mountains, and rocky walls covered with yellow dust are attractions in Guan Shan. Besides, this district is sparsely populated and full of variety of animals and plants. Bamboo shoot, mango, pineapple, and papaya which the local residence cultivated make this place much more attractive.

Project Description: Do you know what the mountain firefly (Lychnuris Praetexta E. Olivier) is? Do you have any idea about the white-chin frog (Polypedates Megacephalus Hallowell)? Have you ever seen the one-hundred-year’s tree (Zelkova Serrata) or the big fire-pit that flee from the earth's surface? Would you like to have a walk along the mountain stream or enjoy the fresh air in the forest? Are you interested in taking a look at the beautiful scenery while hiking on the mountain top? It will be a great experience to enjoy the homemade herb tea or plum juice by using Moso bamboo cup. At the same time, we have a creative and funny game for top made of betel nut right here in Guan Shan. Bamboo shoots, mango, papaya, pineapple, and plum are our treasures in the mountains. Our school is surrounded with all these impressive sceneries mentioned above. Moreover, the activities of environmental protection and narrators have been promoted in our school. In the cyber fair we hope to provide anyone who is interested in acquiring more information about Guan Shan community with a web page.
