Description of Our Community: My community The Seven Stars Bay is to be located at the west side of the Pacific Ocean. It is a little Bay on the east seashore of Taiwan Island nearby my community , accepting the first sun rise light everyday. The Seven Stars Bay is surrounded by the overlapping of the great green mountains.
It is fortunate to have a Black Tide passing over it, enriching the fish resources and the local fishing men use the special style to catch fish.It ia a fixed net fishing technique. The special fish arrested in the fixed net is to be named Mombo fish or Sunfish?. Mombo fish is bing famous in our community even using it as the logo for sightseeing activities of our county. Taiwan is an island . It is to be fortunate living on this land. I pushing the window and looking outside. The sea nearby and that great mountains afar to be around with clouds and mists, at that moment emotional feeling rises up in my mind. We hope our students would like to realize their ocean nearby which they are living on and open their mind and versions through this study. Acting as a teacher , this is the reason choosing ?To explore the Secrets of the Seven Stars Bay?and its fixed net fishing field as our study topic. We hope that through the web page made and published let more people understand the beauty of our hometown and our special fishing culture. Mountains and the sea singing each other----Seven Stars Bay of my community
The overlapping of the great green mountains with its steep peaks showing the great and uncommon attitudes, along the sea shore of Seven Stars Bay our beautiful mountains continuously connect to the eternal just like a great dragon always curling around at the side of the Pacific Ocean.
Through thousands of years, it seems to have been hearing the harmony singing interactions among these mountains and the sea breeding the biological lives and enriching this large field land.
It is more like an art object of our god showing his excellent plastic skill forming this beauty. Emotional feeling rises up with shouting and crying in my mind when standing before them.
It is to be fortunate to be living on this field breathing the air day and night, enjoying myself in its beauty. I push the window looking outside at these great mountains afar around with cloud and mist. Nearby, I see the anti-wind forest arranged in a line like a clipper shadow.
Outside the forest I hear the constant tide sounds of the Pacific Ocean. In the night, the moon is like the copper plate rising silently from that edge of the sea.
Viewing from Seven Stars Bay in the morning, the great mountains is always to be around with light soft and white cloud. Seeing this illusioned image , it seems to be having a god living there. It is like a clean location where no concerning the activities of human being. But when the temperature of the ocean gradually rises, the cloud flower formed by the ocean is gradually to be mature. Floating up and turning over etc. such kind of different status often to be seen in its various changing pattern. The clouds with the different attitudes running towards the great mountains, leaning, embracing, winding or tearing, play love or tragedy story everyday. When angering, the cloud waves violently, illusionally, variedly or diminishingly. When laughing, it appears the brilliant golden color like the sum rising from the Ar-Ri mountain. When with peaceable mind, it floating with ease tracks a thin line or group of lines just like the boat forwarding leaving the evidence of waves. Mountains and the sea singing each other, they are to be a lover or couple with hate, who knows?H In the dark night, this lover even not resting. In the sky the blinking stars seems to be sending the electrical messages to each other. North Pole stars try rising and flying fastly from the surface of the sea every night to arrive west great mountains before the sun rise of the next day and bringing what kind of secret, we don't know. I often stand by the window trying to feel their love. Will the fishing men and travelers on the sea in a closer distance and with more correct angle can find out their stories. The endless of those dancing of the cloud , the blinking of the stars, no cease of the harmonic songs among the great mountains and the vast ocean of the Seven Star Bay all are the guide of the fishing men's life. The drawing cloth with bright colors places on the minds of the travelers. ?Haulian song? singing outside the window spreading in the wild field is to be eternal. Do you have the same feel like us??

Project Description: Project name: To Explore The Secrets Of The Seven Stars Bay And Its Fixed Net Fishing Field The study project we are developing is to explore the relation between The Seven Stars Bay and the local fishing business, trying deeply tracing the relation between the Black Tide and the local special fixed net fishing technique. The special fish arrested in the fixed net is to be named "Mombo fish" or "Sun fish". The swimming attitude of the young Mombo fish is the same as those of general fish but the adult Mombo fish occasionally will lie horizontally drafting on the sea waves, just like a dead fish. The young Mombo fish still having tail but when its body reaching 10mm, the tail is not obvious so that we are curious and intend to understand more about the Mombo fish. Someone said the Mombo fish lying horizontally drafting on the sea waves absorbing the energy of sun light so to be called "Sun fish", and we saw these fishes from afar finding the reflection of the golden color winking. So that we are curious and intend to understand more about the Mombo fish. We have a plan to rent a boat visiting the fishing net field so that we can deeply realize the operation procedure and daily life of these fishing men. Mombo fish and black tide play an important role in our study. Lead our students to fish market, dining restaurant of fish union to understand the flow of fishing business from low level to top level. Studying the fixed net fishing business of the Seven Stars Bay is just a start point. Through this project studying., We hope we will have the opportunity to see , to hear and to feel our local community and environments. Further more we will gradually understand and love this place, learning and using the heart of protection to respect the ocean as precious resources which is just beside us.
