Description of Our Community: Shen-kang originally belonged to Hsien-hsi Pao. But Shen-kang grew faster and faster and there were more and more rich people. In addition, it was far away from Hsien-hsi, so it was not convenient to do some work. Therefore, Mr. Chou Chien, who was the leader of the county at that time, suggested that Shen-kang should be independent from Hsien-hsi. Then SHen-kang Hsiang was born. Originally, Shen-kang was named Hsin-kang. However, there was also a Hsin-kang in Chia-yi. Hence, Hsin-kang in Changhua had to change its name into Shen-kang. But the residents were not stupid. You can try to say these two names in Taiwanese. The sounds of the two names in Taiwanese were the same! Chuan-tseng is a small village in Shen-kong. It is a place that everyone is familiar with. That's not because it's famous or it is always reported in the newspaper and is worthy of visiting more than other villages. It's just because this village is the same as our own house. The biggest difference is that there are many abundant historic sites, cultural legends, sources recycling and so on. All of these are the reasons that our village is worthy of visiting. We sincerely welcome you to visit us.

Project Description: The teacher gathers a group of passionate students to take care of the places they live. The purpose of the project is to let students love their own village and learn by doing. Our goals of the project are to understand how to observe, find, analyze and compare, to be familiar with our own hometown, to become a volunteer of tourist guide, to learn how to have an interview, and to make web pages. There are four major points that we want to do. First, we will find out how each attraction appears by having interviews. Second, we will find out how each site becomes so popular and how we can attract more tourists. Third, we will find out what each site needs and how we can help them. Fourth, We will make some ideals come true, which are learning by doing, learning by serving and cooperative teaching.
