Description of Our Community: This is a town famous for ceramic industry; therefore it's so called“The Jing-der Town”of Taiwan.

Stepping in Yingge from Shu-lin, you can see a natural scenic spot -"The Yingge Rock"- a rock located on the hill. It looks just like a huge bird named Yingge. Coming into Yingge from San-Xia, you can see the gorgeous ceramic museum on your left. This museum unveils the historical page of Taiwan Ceramic Development.

What attracts the tourists most is the well-known "Ceramic Old Street". Lots of shops there display all kinds of chinawares, potteries, ceramic paintings, ceramic sculptures...etc. You can also learn throwing in some of the shops.

Feeling hungry, you can try the delicious Grandma Sushi, or other specialties. Oh! What a nice place!

Project Description: Nowadays, ceramics is not just used for everyday life. More people now use clay to create their own imaginative artworks.

Mr. Shiao Ji-jeh, a ceramic art worker in Yingge, creates new life for clay art with special techniques. He teaches students, working people, and even prisoners not only how to create but also to realize the beauty of art.
