Description of Our Community: The place we live can be said abundant with shrines and temples which will worship all kinds of deities and gods. We have many religions in Taiwan, and there are lots of religious services and ceremonies all the year around. Almost every elder knows about the holy dates for many gods and their taboos. However, these lifestyles and traditions are gradually forgotten with the changes and development within our society. We notice this and want to know them better. We need a fresh demonstration of this important part of our cultural life. We hope we succeed.

Project Description: Xiang-qin Tang is, as our report will show, an ancient temple dedicated to Buddah of Medicene. He takes care of cure and medicine of all beings. It is located in the range of Liansanding Mountain in Hsinchu County of Taiwan. Its surrounding is full of great feng-shui, but its fame is hardly known. For more than two hundred years since its first construction, the temple has undergone much hardship and adversity, though it still remains as an great abundance of historical artifacts and magnificent architecture. They are worthy of your curiosity and admiration. We will report about everything about Xiang-qin Tang as well as the ways many people in Taiwan will pray for blessings.
