Description of Our Community: Mao-Kung, the Jnyen mile at Wenshang District, Taipei, Which is bordering Shenkeng Village in the east, adjacent to Shandien city in the south, next to Wanshin mile in the north and adjacent Louchuan mile in the west. During the period of Japanese colonization, it was called 11.13 Pou at Shenkeng Village. Owing to the redesignate in 1946, it was renamed as Jnyen Village, which came from its most well know Jnyen Temple. Mao-Kung is noted for its Iron Guanin tea. Additionally, with the government's promotion, the tea plantation has become the local feature.

Project Description: Taipei Wenshan District at Jnyen Village, which is called Mao-Kung, it is famous for its Iron Guanin tea, the manufacture of tea plantation. Affected by the texture of the soil, fine climate and with help of government, which encourages people to come and visit in their leisure time. Tea plantation gardens have already become the local feature gradually overtaken by commerce. Lack of taking good care in environment, which then resulted in over cultivated by man, plus the natural disaster always damage the environment in various ways. Therefore, we call our project "The Long Forgotten Town of tea-Maokung" to remind us the importance of environment protection and the love for our homeland.
