Description of Our Community: Taiwan is a small island that has over 20 million people living on it. The education system on this island is very well developped. Most elementary school students read a children's newspaper called Mandarin Daily News everyday. We want to tell kids in the other part of the world about the story of this special newspaper. Hence we define the local community as all kids in Taiwan who grow up with Mandarin Daily News.

Project Description: We want to investigate the history, operation, contribution to our education system of Mandarin Daily News. This project was raised by the suggestion of Yue-Chane Hsing who has written a series of Cyberfair stories for Mandarin Daily News that in turn has arisen the attention of many schools in Taiwan. The students used winter vacation to visit Mandarin Daily News and made corresponding interviews. They are going to publish their findings on the web for Cyberrfair.
