Within Spring Valley's boundaries can be found a variety of smaller communities - Casa de Oro, Rancho San Diego, La Presa, Dictionary Hill, Mt. Helix, and Bancroft. Today it is dotted with condos and affordable homes to house its dense population of more than 100,000 residents.
2. Summary of Our Project
This project is about local leaders in the Spring Valley community and we are focusing on Mrs.DeSonia, a Mount Miguel high school science teacher. Her leadership encourages students to be the best they can be not only in high school, but also throughout their lives. Her kindness encourages students to ask questions and never be afraid to ask for help. An example of her encouragement would be when i was in her class and I wasn't doing as well as I could have been doing and she would encourage me by telling me that I'm better than that and to not let a bad moment affect my entire future.
This project is important not only for people in the community to see, but also, for Bridgett DeSonia herself. When someone is doing something good, I believe it is right for that person to get rewarded or recognized. Sometimes people can be doing great things and not know it, that is why i think it is great to let them know we appreciate them and that we notice all the little things they do that add up to big changes on individuals as well as the community.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Vannesa: During this project, my teammates and i faced many challenges. one challenge that i think affected us the most would be the fact that the people working on this project have very busy schedules. We had trouble meeting all together because some of us were free when others were busy. This led to a few people leaving the project because they were too busy doing other great things. We ended up with a group of about three and a half but with our dedication and commitment, we have been able to make it work, and its looking amazing. Brallana: This project was a struggle to put together because it was difficult having five members at the same time . It was especially tough for me because of work, homework and other activities in school. In some cases i had to say up at 3:00 in the morning to do homework or other stuff for the project.
5. Our Project Sound Bite

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Celene: What skills did I learn? This project exposed me to a formal interview, and I learned how to be an active listener, conduct myself properly in a different kind of environment, and to ask and answer educated questions. What group concepts did you practice? We practiced communication, collaboration of ideas, time management, and brainstorming.
