Summary: Oceans is an international educational project for students age 12-16. The objective is to make them realise that the sea is not the same worldwide, through their own observations, and sharing them with other schools around the world, using ICTs.

Objectives:

These are the main objectives: -Understanding the marine environment and its main features -Awakening the need of research and discovery -Encourage the creation of effective strategies to gather and analyse information. -Empower the students to create and produce their own materials. -Develop the culture of sharing through the diffusion of their materials. -Create strategies and resources that encourage team working. -Overcome the fear of communicating with non-English speaking people

DESIRED PROJECT OUTCOME: Students acquire a global vision of the planet and the Ocean's importance from sharing their local data.
