Project Overview

1. Description of Our Team

In order to reach our goal we divided ourselves to do different tasks to finish everything quickly. But everyone in our team still have to share their ideas to each other so that our project would be worth it and to lessen the stress of our teammate in which she is assigned to. In putting up our team together, we confirmed our roles and responsibilities, we establish schedules, we identify deadlines and make sure that our overall job is completed within the time specified. If issues arise with our ongoing project, we will seek help and edvice from our teacher, Sir Vincent Tabor, to make sure everything will be okay and to avoid mistakes in our way. Then we analyzed the kind of skills our members are capable of before we begin to assign different tasks. We are assigned this way not because we have time available or each of us will be comfortable working with each other but because we have the right skills. We keep the team's mission upfront everyday because members should be clear about the project's mission when we agreed to work together on the project. We build a team communication plan since we aren't neighbors, so we established communication channels among team members so there can be an exchange of information in a timely and accurate way. We do meet-ups or chat online as a way of communication. During meetings, we ask questions to clarify or gather information on out topic. We also ask for adult help in our parents if ever they have some ideas to share with us that can help us in our project.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our project is about jeepney transportation. The purpose of this project is to disseminate to all how important jeepney here in the Philippines. Efficient transportation systems provide economic and social opportunities resulting into easy accessibility to markets, employment and additional investments. This project is very important because it can widen people's mind all over the world about how jeepneys are important. It can also enhance our thinking ability. Our project can help people to know more about LPG or Diesel. They will know the cause and effect if they will try either LPG or Diesel. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome

None of us had any experience in entering an international project and it is our first time to encounter such stress and big problems. We had some problems but we had to work on this project, one main problem is that our exams are nearly approaching so even in this case we still balance our time in making our project and reviewing for our nearly approaching examinations that is less than 5 days. It was also difficult to make an agreement with our groupmates because of their busy schedules. We also had a hard time finding time in doing this project. First, because examinations are nearly approaching. Second, because of our busy schedules, lastly because of the fact that we are not allowed to go out and meet them in places. We had to do our project in our own homes in other words we had to do it long distance but we could overcome all these problems so that our project would be in great success.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

The Environment is Our Priority For it is where we get everything we need.

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our project can fit requirements by enhancing one's personal knowledge. Students have learned that vehicles are not only for transportation but also for business. Students can increase their business skills and ideas because of our project. Our group have done surveys that can really help us and we have done brainstroming as a group. We've understood that people should be flexible on what will happen. Always be open minded and hoping for a peaceful result. We've discovered that every project that is implemented by our school should be properly done by each and everyone of us through diligent researches and sharing of ideas by all of the group members. Internet for teaching and learning have been more effective because it is where we can read the meaning of such topic.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your Doors to Diplomacy project?

* Oral interviews * Search via internet * Video camera for video taping * Ask some of our friends through social media

These tools increased our knowledge aboout our topic. It helps a lot for our research. The tools are located in everyh question that is to be answered. No other tools were donated/given by the school. The tools were donated by the software makers. Our most valuable tool was the oral interview because some people that we've interviewed have already experienced. The computer that helps seach via internet was the most helpful tool. When you search computer with internet access it will help you gain more knowledge about it.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Doors to Diplomacy project both on-line and in person.

The main act we did as an ambassadors is we interviewed and asked questions to our friends and classmates through chat, text and even in person. We show also good example to those people who witnessed our hardwork in doing this project, like balancing our time to do this project and as well as reviewing for our examinations. In this project we did not act as an ambassadors of the country, but we acted as a united class and team members. Being a part of this project is a pleasure to us, because it is an international competition and it made us an ambassador of our school even if it is just a short time. In our project description we stated there all important things to know about our different categories. We worked as a team and we sacrificed much of our time for this project. Maybe those people who can read the importance of this project in our website will realize that we should plan how we live everyday and give importance in everything we do. Our plan in our project is to post something about it in different social networking sites so that those people who are always on that site will be encouraged to read about our project.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Being a part of this project, it strengthened the relationship between the local community and our school, because while we are planning how to do this project we consider and think the effect of this to our local community and especially in our school which we are representing for this project. Also our school made the way to strengthen the relationship in our community by joining in this competition and knowing that it is for our own good especially those who are in business. It can make a difference by explaining and elaborating the real essence and importance of business, trade and economics. Maybe it is also different to other projects because we did the project seriously since the first day it was given to us, we gave most of our time just to do it and we sacrificed so many things just for this project. People in our community and around the world can learn new things because this project can tell people that everything that we do is important as it is. In the near future we can see that new and good relationship between us students in our school and our community will be built up. We are hoping that there will be a good feedback soon in our website. In our project we are trying to show how important business and trade not only in our country but also in other places.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

The one who really contributed a big help and led us in this project is no other than Sir Vincent Tabor; our technology and home economics teacher. He would also say things that would inspire us so that we could have a good and successful one. Also for the fact that he is sick, he still comes back and help us in many other ways. We would like to thank him for playing a big role in this project.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Since we have no experience in this international project that is stateed in our problems, while we tried to pick up all the necessary skills and tried so hard sacrificing our time in doing this, we've learned to understand such things in computer and website things. We have also learned to surpass the problems we had overcome. The important thing that had a great impact on us is that the Doors to Diplomacy project led us and helped us enchancing our skills and creativity in computer and also our research skills. While doing this, we've learned team work, and how we can trust each other in making this project and many more projects to come.
