1. Description of Our Team

I am Yang Sen, the age of 15, extrovert, cheerful and live. I usually prefer to joking with students, in this team full of laughter, I am harmony with other members. My hobbies are many, the most languages and physical, enjoying playing table tennis and basketball. When I am free, I often read extracurricular books and listen to music, which is both informative and edifying. I'm Chang Xijuan, 15 years old, lively, cheerful and love to laugh. My hobby is extensive so that anything interesting I will participate in, although it is not the best, but I will not give up. Because of this characteristic, I am getting along well with students. Love laugh I hope that my smile can offer you different happy! I am Yang Ting, 15 years old this year. Like mathematics, physics, running, reading joke books and listening to music. At school, I was smiling the whole day, a happy girl I'm Lai Jiahui, aged 14, is the smallest member of the group. Personality is more introverted quiet. My favorite subject is mathematics and languages, I like to play games and read a novel, I wish I could be more lively, more working-hard.

2. Summary of Our Project

International economic trade should comply with relevant laws and regulations of the WTO in order to trade on an equal footing, thereby reducing the trade wars between countries, in the case of the current world economic recession, we need to join hands to tide and achieve win-win, promoting the common prosperity of the world economy. To Shanxi HingXing beverage company Mei County branch factory apple juice also suffered United States anti-dumping for instance for discussion, we collected WTO related information on Internet, led students visiting apple juice factory, accessed to company and Government related personnel, through practical investigation, completed this theme activities, while, let students write out experience and feelings in this activities and exchange with our school students, they would experience success in practice.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

In this practice process, we has encountered many difficulties and setbacks, remembering on 7th afternoon, we visited to HingXing juice factory, Mei County, on the road, Yang Ting and Chang Xijuan became haggard because of motion sickness, after several ten minutes, we finally arrived to destination, but unfortunately, teacher hadn’t contacted well,so we was shut out by management personnel, but we never gave up, eventually only teacher contacting let us step into the juice factory. We create web pages, collect data, organize data, the computer constantly crashes, sometimes, when we are ready to save the file, the computer suddenly crashes, all the files totally missing, and this time we have to do it again, after repeated operations, we finally succeeded, in the morning we also went to computer laboratory to make webpages, collect information and so on, therefore delayed the morning reading, teachers did not understand, but we will be in the exam this time with a good results to prove that we not delayed learning, in addition, we are ninth grade students, so not only do we have to take it seriously to make webpages, but also to be practical, what’s more, our instructors are busy with business and do their best to give us guidance: here I on behalf of the whole school says one word to teachers: 'teacher, thank you for your giving so much. ”

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We participating in this event has got strong support from Qianxiangwancai company as well as the school teachers. Through this juice factory of investigation access, we know apple juice processing process, WTO and anti-dumping rules, country and country trade should establish on equal, just, and fair of foundation, this activities can be completed successfully are all our efforts, this makes us understand of reason 'United as one, align force broken gold', as long as we solidarity up all difficulties can be beaten.

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

1,In the Chinese teaching to strengthen students ' reading abilities, we advocate the good habit of love reading in the whole school, raising the level of each student's composition and oral presentation skills. 2,Apply the textbook basics in real life, and exercise our pratical and innovative ability. 3,Take each school course seriously, recognizing their importance to increase our knowledge. 4,After the creation of “Door to Diplomacy” thematic activities, school leaders attach great importance and provide comprehensive support. In order to live up to expectations, we spend effort doing well “Door to Diplomacy” project research activity as well as general curriculum, we insist that the general curriculum is foundation, with“Door to Diplomacy” research fulfillment. Correctly handle the relationship between the two, and earnestly fulfill general course on the basis of learning, taking advantage of holiday to set project research activities centralizly, what’s more, learning in regular class, we also infiltrate “Door to Diplomacy” research content, making the regular courses and “Door to Diplomacy” research on complementary.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Doors to Diplomacy project both on-line and in person.

In this practice, there are so many processes not only relying on individuals to complete, we are clearly aware of to finish this activity, it is necessary to rely on our team unity, tacit coordination, cooperation and mutual trust that could only achieve the final victory.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Thanks to elaboratly, carefully prepared and a great deal of publicity, especially through the special events we harvested told to local communities, the thematic activities has had a good social impact. The local government pay great attention, which was determined to bring the local fruit industry for greater. During special events, under the leadership of teacher Chang Ce, we have interviewed the government's leaders for many times, and informed them about fruit industry development prospects at domestic and abroad which caught their high attention. We also participated in a town-wide fruit industry development of village general assembly, which encouraged us deeply. Yang Sen once said excitedly: 'there is no expection that our activity has had a great impact on the topic'. Local fruit production is in the even higher enthusiasm who determined to expand apple acreage. We take advantage of holidays at home channeling households and farms, and propaganda farmers about fruit industry development in domestic and abroad. We exchange some of the fruit tree planting techniques we learned in school to fruit farmers, encouraged by our promotion, enthusiasm of fruit farmers become higher, many farmer uncles make determination to expand apple acreage next year. There is one fruit uncle said: 'You are young, but know so much apple related knowledge, that’s amazing'. Through surveys, we know that the town of fruit production has exceeded $ 10 million mark.We understand that we did the importance of thematic activities on the local economy, increasing awareness of the local farmer uncles of the apple industry and international trade and also exercising the ability of our social practices. Employees enthusiastical care and our school has established good cooperative relations. Mei County HengXing fruit juice company is the focus interviewee of this event. 4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We would like to thank Taiwan Gu Mei teacher, she gave us a lot of information we have no way to find, which let us do the work well; Thanks would also express to the Chief Chang of Economic and Trade Bureau and Stationmaster Wang Mr Wang of the Agro-pastoral Council who with their help of our social investigation can be successfully completed; We would also like to thank our school director Shi Junjian, he gave our strong support in many ways,we also like to thank our interview with unknown farmer's uncle; Finally thanks should give to our tutor Chang Ce teacher, teacher is disabled himself, but the computer room on the third floor, up and down the stairs particularly difficult, however the teacher every time goes earlier than us, which made us really moved, Chang also be multifaceted, arranged for us to conduct interviews, the teacher may be too busy.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

I never thought that apple juice of my hometown do have a high place in the world. I never thought that agricultural products are so important to whatever country. If it is only from a single country anti-dumping, it is unable to understand the significance of WTO trade liberalization. After understanding of free trade, then look back on Apple juice anti-dumping, we come to realize that experiencing to balance the interests of all countries in the world and eliminate tariff barriers to make common prosperity is not an easy thing. Let the children open the horizen, from Baoji city to the world. We learned a lot of computer technology. I think we should begin from now on, study science and culture hard so as to promote our rural economy, even China's economy, which depends on the efforts of us all, so let us fight!
