Project Overview

1. Description of Our Team

Ants though infinitesimal and mundane, but they have a clever sense of smell, be good at discovering, knows Division, unity, mutual help , able to endure hardship, knowing 'all firewood flame high.' This is exactly the spirit of our team. For our team so I named: the Ant team.We have a team of four students. We are both division of labor and cooperation, each responsible for their own part. When encountering difficulties, we discuss together to solve them. In on-the-spot investigation, we play the role of media young reporter, utilizes “the sense of smell” to seek the interview object intelligently, simultaneously, adjusts the interview content unceasingly according to the actual situation to rich investigation and study connotation.Next we will also manufacture study result to thematic networks, for everybody browsing.Several times on the road, the day falls the fine drizzle, the mountain road is rugged, winds to circle.Although we unfortunately met traffic jam on the road, landslides and other difficulties, but we still strongly overcame the difficulties with a smile, successfully completed the task. We use ant strength to awaken awareness of environmental concerns of the world, our ant team is the best!

2. Summary of Our Project

Selectting Qingchuan County, Yin Ping Village as my current studies of the interviewee is because its ecological characteristics attracting, so our team is in admiration of fame toward.Taking use of holidays I had made obligations to the villagers of zhuyuan county five thematic advocacy of environmental knowledge, receiving strong support from local people. They think what we're doing is a benefit of good thing, but also hope that we can make this activity long-term, expanding propaganda, so that all staff will get involved in environmental protection.We issued this special study topic through the Qingchuan Forum, also received support from a lot of e-friends, they also contributed to write the things around them.They required that we could propagandize through the media and expand influence so that more people will get involved.

Under Zhejiang's construction,our school got the hardware investment more than 10 millions,with more than 300 Lenovo M7150 computers, school computer classes have been opened in each class, students are more comfortable working with computers.Schools accessed to the 10M fibre high speed Internet access, the network is much faster.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Due to poor roads, pending until the opening. Students use unskillfully on part of the software, so school is equipped with specialized counselling. Data collection is too slow, head of group specified, requiring regularly urge the collection of materials in this group.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Through this special investigation of all of green environmental protection, we have a direct understanding of healthy living, and be more enthusiastic to environmental industries, which concern the environment around us.On healthy living has a new experience. Through visits to ecological civilization village,we understand the tremendous changes of the Yinping Village, and people's environmental protection idea is strengthening, the motion is carrying out. Ecological environmental protection unprecedentedly changes. Students unanimously agree: we have the responsibility of environmental protection, pursue health life, take actions of ecological civilization.

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our regular courses are not disconnected from our research activities.In the activities we pay attention to combining theoretical knowledge with social practice, developping students' communication skills, presentation skills, observation skills, analytical ability to form the advanced thinking skills.We request our team members to have to complete the project investigation conscientiously, not only has the solid curriculum knowledge foundation of basic skills,but also utilizes the old knowledge to explore the new knowledge so as to deepen the knowledge level. Through this activity we clearly feel the learning consciousness of students greatly increasing, learning attitude greatly correcting, study behavior greatly initiating.Smultaneously social activity ability is greatly promoted.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Doors to Diplomacy project both on-line and in person.

In on-the-spot investigation, we played the role of media young reporter, the propagandist, carried on the local environmental protection situation interview and we propagandized the related environmental protection knowledge. At the same time, according to the actual situation, we continually adjusted the interviews and promotional content to rich connotation of the investigation. Next was manufacturing our research results into thematic networks, for your browsing, so that our research results can be extended.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We will collect the massive writing information, the picture material as well as the material object placed in the website, for teacher and student browsing, reading, examination, appreciation.In the network browsing,we recieve greatly concerned about the activities from the entire school teachers and students and the social web uesrs. Our propaganda obtains society's universal approval, that wanted us to make this activity long-term.This activity through advocacy in Qingchuan forums, delighted with feedback and many e-friends in long distance contributed to us or discussed the special study plan together.In the publicity, we obtained the villagers' praise.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

In this activity, school leaders attached great concerns and even personal involved, the whole school payed much attention to our research plan, therefore we had collected many good suggestions. Followed by ecological civilization demonstration village Committee supported our work extremely. To give answers to topics of interest to us, and also arranged for us to interview all households. Assigned the influential person in the village to provide material to us, guided us deep into the fields, selected the taking lens.They hoped we could reporte their village trail, complete the propaganda, make better Web page,thus attracted more tourists.Our propaganda was welcomed by the local population.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Before doing this research activity, our ideas are actually different from the facts, advanced setting section is incomplete, so we added during the interview and advocacy. There were content planed to publicize which villagers had already well understood, therefore we just had to adjust temporarily.The lesson is: We are lacking of experience, some situation understanding is quite superficial, so we must enhance learning.This event, we were pleasantly surprised to find that farmers were very eager to receive related knowledge of environmental protection. Environmental awareness is stronger than we thought.
