Description of Our Community: Our community is Muntinlupa City, located in Metro Manila, Philippines (specifically in the southernmost part). The name “Muntinlupa” has changed throughout history, originally being called “Monte sa Lupa” due to a misunderstanding with Spaniards in the 16th century, followed by “Munting Lupa” which is an old term that refers to town, leading to what we know it today. As March 1, 1995, marked the beginning of cityhood, these past few decades have proved fruitful in prosperity. Now, Muntinlupa is known as the “Emerald City" due to its urbanization and eco-friendliness. Along with this, the city has continued to uphold its missions of promoting broad-based economic growth, protecting every person, providing quality social services, and institutionalizing community participation. In line with the mission that aims to provide quality social services, education has been a priority of the government. Throughout time, Muntinlupa has been the home for many notable schools that have developed safer groups within the community, and one of them is known as South Mansfield College. South Mansfield College (SMC) is one of the top schools in the Philippines that is located in Muntinlupa City. As a sister school of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) – one of the top international schools in Manila – SMC is well-known for its English-speaking community and curriculum that is up to par with international curricular and industry standards. South Mansfield College is also recognized as the “School of C.H.O.I.C.E” that aims to develop and equip learners with the A.V.I.D (Academic Excellence, Values Excellence, Interpersonal Sensitivity, and Drive and Discipline to Achieve).

Project Description: Diverse excellence and service are at the forefront of the new generation, and it begins in their one and only school of choice. An organization with strong leadership, such as the South Mansfield College (SMC) Student Council, is a great example of this. This council, which is in its eighth year of fostering excellence and service and is made up of 16 student leaders from the High School Department, seeks to strengthen students' ties to their city through extracurricular, academic, and civic activities while also igniting change in the neighborhood. In light of this, this website aims to highlight these young leaders who are eager to change the world through their participation in, development of, and execution of various events and display their wonderful contributions for the betterment of the community around them.
