Description of Our Community: While running a marathon in other places may feel like a personal event for the runner, participating in the Tianzhong Marathon is an event that represents the community spirit of Tianzhong Township. Known as the most welcoming marathon in Taiwan, the Tianzhong Marathon showcases the unique Taiwanese village characteristics, particularly the abundance of rice fields that earned it the title of "Taiwan Rice Heaven."

The township dispatches 6,000 villagers to demonstrate the warmth and enthusiasm of Tianzhong, providing support and encouragement to runners throughout the course. This event invites millions of runners from across the country to use their legs to support Taiwan's smart farming initiatives.

Project Description: Purpose: Through interviewing the Tianzhong Marathon event, students can understand the characteristics and culture of the local community and experience the atmosphere and spirit of Taiwanese marathon events.

Time: The interview will be conducted on the day of the Tianzhong Marathon.

Location: Tianzhong Township.

Participants: This event is for middle school or high school students, and several students from each class will be selected to participate.

Plan Procedure:

Contact the local government or the Tianzhong Marathon organizer to confirm the interview time and location and arrange for a person to assist.

On the day of the event, students can first observe the race, experience the atmosphere of the marathon race and the enthusiastic atmosphere on site.

Next, students can interview local residents and businesses to learn about local culture and characteristics, such as rice fields, Guandi Temple, etc.

During the interview process, students can collect relevant information through questionnaires or on-site observations, and conduct discussions and research.

After the interview, students can organize the data, write reports, or make display boards to showcase the characteristics and culture of the local community.

Expected Outcome: Through this event, students can deepen their understanding of Taiwanese marathon culture and the characteristics of the local community, and develop research skills and team spirit through investigation and research.
