Description of Our Community: Taiwan is a Pacific island located southwest of Japan and north of the Philippines. It is a half tropical and half subtropical island with a rich and colorful landscape. Taiwan, known as Formosa, has its fine and diverse culture. At each corner, you can find some local stories and unique characteristics to enjoy. Our school is located in Taipei City, Shilin District, with its outstanding living environment and marvelous natural scenery. There are many famous scenic spots and historic sites nearby such as National Palace Museum, Taipei Astronomical Museum, National Taiwan Science Education Center, Shilin Night Market, and Taipei Children's Amusement Park. Through this project, we hope to help more people understand the beauty and the life of Taiwan's culture.

Project Description: According to 108 syllabus, alternative curriculum is organized by schools themselves. The purpose of the curriculum is to enhance students’ interest in learning and encourage them in adaptive development. Education Bureau offers lots of opportunities for junior high school students to visit every walk of life. On a field trip, students are more likely to retain information. It is also valuable to broaden their understanding of the world. Through this project, we visit the art studio of inBlooom on Dihua Street in person. Fascinated by these printed fabric with local stories, we decide to introduce more people to be acquainted with this Taiwanese brand. The brand is dedicated to conveying the concept of environmental protection and local caring. Through printed fabric, we hope to create an aesthetic life.
