Description of Our Community: The local community selected for the project is Refugee Population of Faridabad. This examines the saga of colonization of refugee settlement in a jungle of Henna shrubs. Many small tribal and minor communities from the frontier regions of Present day Pakistan relocated to the country they called their motherland, India. These were the warrior communities of Banoo, Multans and Sikhs primarily. These were the hardworking people who believed in the dignity of labour. They converted a barren land and created one of the most successful settlement of the refugees.

Project Description: The Project sheds light on Refugee settlement in Faridabad Town. It talks about nestling of the communities - Banoowal, Sikh and Multani while reminiscing partition and its aftermath. It describes the town from being the spot of shelter to an industrial hub and famous tourist attraction. It discusses about how despite of being a desolated area, refugees created a panoramic view and resuscitated the area converting it into one of the biggest Industrial Towns of the North India. The sheer grit and determination of the settlers is an idol for many generations to come.
