Description of Our Community: Taiwan is a Pacific island with beautiful mountains and rivers. It is in a special geographical location located at the junction of the Philippine Sea Plate and the Eurasian Plate. Xindian Mountain has beautiful scenery and a wide field of vision. Our school is located in the mountains, through extensive interactions with nature, students appreciate the beauty of it. Taiwan's mountains have a long history. From the provision of the daily needs of the aborigines and then to the development of mountaineering experience, the mountains and forests are rich in resources. Later, after industrial development, wood became a large export commodity, helping Taiwan's economic and trade development. Now, the mountains are a place for rest, providing the opportunity for people to live along with nature. Students in our school have a certain understanding of mountain areas. The combination of diverse courses and local education has stimulated our curiosity to learn about mountains. Therefore, through this project, we hope to help more people understand the beauty and the life of Taiwan's mountains.

Project Description: The current 108 syllabus in Taiwan promotes school-based curriculum and cross-disciplinary activities. Our school combines a variety of courses, breaks away from the traditional courses, promote cross-disciplinary education, and learns through personal experience. The elite activities are a major curriculum of the school. Through the special mountains and lakes of Taiwan, activities are designed for different ages. The nature of Taiwan is of great significance to the people of Taiwan. Nature not only provides rest but also supports the economy. Therefore, the elite courses are best known for their hiking activities. Our school combine humanities and sports and use actual activities and personal experience to educate the students the three main principal of hiking- clean, quiet and respectful. Since this thematic team has all experienced mountaineering training, the team decided to promote mountaineering-related knowledge. Through Dr. Wang Shihao's knowledge and experience of the mountains, we will discuss how to enjoy the beauty of the mountains without having to worry about the potential crisis of mountain climbing.
