Description of Our Community: Since the 14th century, Chinese people had settled in Taiwan and brought its own culture. Due to foreign invasion, Taiwanese gradually developed their own methods of self-defense, and then evolved into local martial arts. Later, many martial arts schools in the north and south of China also integrated with the original martial arts in Taiwan. Martial arts was originally called the national art when the KMT came to Taiwan, and it is still used today.

Project Description: Martial arts was the earliest tactics for people in China to protect themselves. After years of evolution, they gradually formed into the present martial arts. For this competition, we interviewed students, teachers, and parents in the school, and the judges of the Taipei Martial Arts Competition, in order to learn about the popularity of Taiwanese martial arts. Furthermore, we create web pages to introduce the history and culture of martial arts to the world through Internet.
