Description of Our Community: Changhua is a traditional industrial county, and there are many factories and some small and medium-sized enterprises. Lukang is Taiwan's strategic township with a history of 300 years, which is situated in Changhua County, northwest of Changhua Plain in Taiwan.

Lukang is located in the center of the western coast of Taiwan. Due to its good harbor conditions, it has become a distribution center in central Taiwan since the middle of the Qing Dynasty and is one of the three major sea ports in Taiwan.

During Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong periods, Lukang witnessed many merchants from suburbs of Lukang port gathered for business and trade, and endless stream of merchant ships and boats, which marked the era of booming Lukang port. As time goes by, Lukang always tries to preserve the charm of the past. Gradually, through the preservation of the old streets and the maintenance of historical sites, the old streets and lanes of Lukang have become the spiritual destination for modern people to pursue the tradition. The transportation to Lukang is very convenient. Lukang can be accessed by taking Zhongshan Expressway and then the Changhua Interchange, and Zhanglu Rd. (142 County Road). After arrival in downtown of Lukang, visitors can first go to Wen Wu Temple. It consists of Wenkai Academy, Wenchang Temple and Wu Temple which are laid side by side linearly. It is surrounded by the green area with elegant classical style. There is a free parking lot, and the tourist service center provides bicycle lease. Thus, this is the first stop to travel historical sites of Lukang.

Project Description: First, we searched the information about Wen Wu Temple, Lukang to understand the origins, and then came and visited Lukang Wen Wu Temple. Second, in interview we learned more about the historical allusions of Lukang Wen Wu Temple, and hoped to gain in-depth information by interview with the relatives of Jinshi, Yongjinshi, Wukui, and modern calligraphers. Besides, we also went to Wen Wu Temple to learn how to introduce its architectural features; and wanted to show them in front of tourists to make them know more about Wenwu Temple not only glance at it. Through data query, in-depth interviews and practice experience, we experienced many new things. We also deeply understood that the purpose of making Cyberfair project is not only to simply collect data, but also learn the knowledge not included in textbooks.
