Description of Our Community: Andrew Charity Association is a non-profit charity organization operating deep in every corner of Taiwan where helps are needed, by sending out a box of food through Andrew Food Band every month to help those children of vulnerable families grow up. In this project, we have tried hard in order to better understand this charity organization and its functioning through a series of activities. These include participating in actual volunteer services, conducting one-day donation event on campus, visiting the Andrew organization, having an exclusive interview with CEO Luo, and observing many of it held activities on-site.

Project Description: Our school is located in a big city in Taiwan with abundant resources; however, the gap between the rich and the poor is great. In the course of contact with the Andrew Food Bank, we have found that Andrew has stepped into every corner of Taiwan and has indeed improved the living environments of many families through the good deeds of collecting food and the provision of supplies and books; moreover, through the preserved services of volunteers as well as the union and contributions of all walks of life in the society, to further narrow the gap between the rich and the poor in Taiwan. This is the most important point to be mentioned. In this project, we intend to bring the good deeds of the Andrew Food Bank, through direct participations of our team members, to the attentions of more people in Taiwan and all over the world. We believe that if we can preserve and unite to get the job done, the work of Andrew Food Bank will be significantly more successful and more disadvantaged children will be carefully taken care of.
