Description of Our Community: Hemei is a town in the northern part of Changhua County, surrounded by Taichung, Shenkang, Xianxi, Lukang, Hsiushui and Changhua City. Hemei~ HeRen elementary school, founded in August 1997. In 2004 it set up a special education program for children with physical, intellectual, learning disabilities and homeschoolers. In order to help their physical rehabilitations, to build their confidence and to expand their life stage, we founded boccia team.
Project Description: Boccia belongs in adaptive physical education, and it can be played for pleasure, fitness or mental exercise. It can improve muscle strength, fitness and judgment, so is very suitable for the growing senior population. The sunshine class of HeRen elementary school in Changhua County founded a boccia team in recent years. We hopes boccia can become more popular through HeRen boccia team. More people can learn this wonderful sport suitable for young and old!
