1. Description of Our Community
Shanchong Dist. Is always a famous springboard for its residents from other cities to work in Taipei city. It originally belonged to New Taipei City. After restructured, the place’s development is cohesive gradually by its good location and population. The administration agencies are gathered on Sec. 1, New Taipei Blvd. Because Shanchong Dist. Is a place in early development, it is lack of urban infrastructure planning and construction. The location is closer to Taipei city, it attracted huge population to settle down here. However, Shanchong Dist. Is about to be saturation aging of population, dense populous and crowded.
2. Summary of Our Project
Taiwanese opera was originated from Yilan in the beginning of 20 century, and now is one of the most famous traditional operas in Taiwan. At the time we enjoy it, we also need to go a step further to research the costumes of Taiwanese opera. We find out the costumes are not only made the actors and actresses on stage look more dazzling and gorgeous, but each costume has its own feature and character’s spirit. But why can Ms. Ye Liyin who is an leading actress on stage make these costumes? What kind of Taiwanese opera’s background does she have? What’s the skills of making costumes? How does she get the textile to make costumes? All of these questions are the motivation to encourage us to understand the stories behind about her handmade costumes and costumes’ features.

School internet environment in computer labs: We use optical network to connect the internet in school’s computers, so does in school internet. Most of the classmates use computers and facilities to surf the internet in class, they mainly use computers and internet facilities after school. Besides, each team members has our own computers at home; we also use them to search and discuss the related information through internet. The internet environment in team member’s house: Every team member has our own computers at home where we can finish the task.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
In the process, we had lots of problem about software application and operating. We asked teachers for help and made use of information we searched on the internet.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Through the competition, we interviewed Taiwanese opera connoisseur and understood the handmade costumes that combine creativity and tradition. We hope traditional Taiwanese opera's culture can have a new life by creative handmade costumes.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Through the project, we learned how to choose subject, make a plan to formulate the structuring of organizations, discuss task to complete the whole design. We search Taiwanese opera’s costumes through teamwork. Our project combines with school curriculum, then we can learn different skills in various learning fields through many kinds of activities. Our learning can be deepen, widen, and it can increase the diversity to enrich our learning progress.
