4. Problems We Had To Overcome
• progress management Due to insufficient time, the works we had made didn't reach the requirements of our teacher, therefore we had to sacrifice our free time during the weekends to discuss and make the project. We learned a lot through the process of trying to reach the requirements!
While designing and making the website, at first, we saw our own weaknesses, we avoided them, ignored the problems. But we figured out that once we worked together as a team, we helped each and one other, conquering the problems together. We matured in a certain way, we're more responsible and understand each other better.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Through this project, we now understand more about Madame Kitty and what she has done for Houtong. We've personally visited Houtong, Madame Kitty and volunteered there, we've seen the changes through our own eyes. Each and everyone of the team has proven themselves by doing their best in their expertise.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Active learning: Our teachers encouraged us to look for articles and materials online or through books independently first, then if we encounter questions we can discuss them with teachers so that we would feel good about our own work. Teamwork: we’ve learned how to properly assign tasks to different teammates according to their expertise, we’ve learned to trust each and one other, help each other for the better, enabling the project to roll smoothly. Software utilization : We’ve learned how to work a lot of software and webpage designing applications, such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator.
